Obituary for Lydia Lebron Rodriguez

"Let all that you do be done in Love."
1 Corinthians 16:14

"To live a joyful life of 96 years that is centered on being a servant of God through selflessness, humility, love, strength, persistence and inspiration are universal footprints that Lydia Lebron has left for all of us to follow. She definitely had some big shoes for all of us to fill. Lydia was a phenomenal woman and loving mother that touched the lives of our family along with countless others in her community. Lydia lived through happiness and love in everything that she did. Her influences in our lives will live on forever. Lydia frankly never had a bad day that any of us can remember. She always lived through her smiles, positivity, and engaging ways of making everyone feel welcomed as a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and woman of God. Her heart, servitude, and loving character will always serve as a guiding light for me and all of us in the family for the rest of our lives." Dr. Juan Lebron. "Lydia was a devoted and loving sister that always paid close attention to our needs and took special care to teach us, guide us, and provide us with protection. Lydia was not only my loving sister, she was an Angel from the Heavens that was always present in my life. I am forever grateful for her love and honored to continue to see her legacy live on through our entire family. Te amo mi Hermanita!" Carlos Lebron

On January, 12, 2021, Lydia Lebron Rodriguez, 96, was called from her home in Tampa, Florida into her home to be with the Lord. Lydia was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico on September 3, 1924 to Aurora Rodriguez-Lavoy and Carlos Lebron Baerga. At a very early age Lydia gave her life to Christ and dedicated her life to serving God and serving God's people. She was the epitome of what servant leadership is all about. Lydia was the glue that kept the family together. She helped to raise her son, her nieces, her nephews and so many others. Lydia was a great cook who loved her family and friends unconditionally. She was a woman who was dependable and was always ready to lend a helping hand. During Lydia's last challenge with her amputation, she demonstrated strength by going through the surgery successfully while continuing to encourage everyone else.

The family always took good care of Lydia, while Lydia spent her lifetime taking of everyone else. Anjuli shares, "Being able to live beside my Great-Great Aunt isn't something that happens every day. Ever since I could remember there was always someone by her side at all times of the day, especially her son Luis. Lydia took care of the people that are taking care of me while in Puerto Rico as well as Tampa, before my time. She has outlived many things that she was told she wasn't supposed to survive and positively impacted many lives in the process." Anjuli Gadson

Obituary for Carlos Lebron

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” – John 14:1-3
