INHERITANCE

Hola Familia!

Just wanted to wish everyone a lovely Christmas and a healthy New Year. Also wanted to remind everyone to get working on collecting their paperwork to establish their family clan's Inheritance.  Once you have gather all birth certificates and death certificates for your family clan, you must than hire an attorney who is familiar with the laws of Puerto Rico to represent your clan and file your papers through  Puerto Rico's court system.
We hope to accomplish this by May 2011.  So let's all get on broad and do what we have to and get this part accomplished and than move on to the next step! Please note in order to make this a reality it's going to take time, money and family members to participate to get this done.

Peace and Happiness!!

Luscious Habitat
Finca's Produce / COCOS

Dear Family, as everyone is aware is almost a tradition to pay the property taxes with the funds from the sale of the coconuts of the palms on the beach. A well thought out idea. This transaction was set, most likely by our beloved Tio Teo, many years ago, I have noticed since my return home from the states 15 yrs. ago, I would imagine this set up has been the same over 20 years.. What I can't comprehend is the fact that we're being paid the same price per coconut, for the last 20 years. Just yesterday (September 29th) I inquire from the owner/driver of a open-bed truck, if first he had the authority to take the coconuts. At the time there was no one else of the family available. "Yes, he said It's all arranged, I have an agreement." Out of curiosity I asked him how much he pays for the truck load of coconuts. $20.00 he replied with a straight face. the man said he gives us 10 cents a coconut. He brings his crew, load up his truck and in essence tells whomever is assigned to receive the payment, "here's $20.00." bet he gets a thank you. I don't know how you feel about this but in my opinion, this man must think we're a bunch of backward people, Even in a dollar store, you can't just put your money on the counter, tell the cashier what you got in your bag and walk out.
We come from humble beginning, we strive for the benefit of our children, we hold these grounds as a sacred gift from our fore-fathers. Lets not under estimate ourselves or allow anyone else to do so. So who ever is in charge, please consider this matter, if we ever need funds for any up grading and or beautification of the finca, we would have at least start up funds. Again, the purpose of this note is not to stir up controversies but in the hope of sound dialogue for all our benefit.. (see picture above)

(Ver foto ) ..I know my spanish is awful, no excuse, hope you got the jest of my effort. ;)

Teodoro Rodriguez Laboy - Chocolate

Affectionately known as "Chocolate" (R.I.P.) .. Tio Teo was truly passionate about
politics, In his hay days, he would travel as far as San Juan for meetings and rallies.
La Palma, Partido Nuevo Progresista (PNP) .. No matter the topic of conversation, if you
volley long enough with him, he'd automatically turn to politics, campaigning for Puerto Rico
to be the 51st state.
Too bad he didn't get to see Obama become president, he would have been so tickle to see a "chocolate" in The White House. He's truly missed by his whole family and friends.

EL MAR !

EL MAR

The Mighty Sea, that mystical body of water that entice us all.
Surrounding our islands like a jealous lover. The hold is deep,

a non- relenting grip, on the crowns of earth spout from It's depth.

Is it the salty perfume the wind gathers to flirts with the Sea?

Or does the Sea lure in the wind with It's sensual scent for a exotic amatory dance.

While the shores of It's domain wait patiently,

for It's mesmerizing stokes of spontaneous swells.

El Mar! The magical Stirring Sea.

Even the Big Blue Sky pay homage to It.

Look! See, their lingering horizontal embrace.

The affect on us, hypnotizing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART!

Para El Pozo!

Just before you get to the big rocks there's a natural pool, deep enough to dive in from
the reef. You still need water shoes to tackle the rocks on the shore, but once you are in
it's pure sand, the water, cool, smooth and inviting.
Their respond to their stay on our homestead was flattering to the surrounding
and their titi, ofcouse. ;-)

Praise to Our Family Matriarch!

Clearly, Our great-grand mother was ahead of her time. Just think, It is through our ancestral
bloodline to her that we're the inherent of this beautiful land, stretching from the mountain top to the sea-shore.

Big praise to ours fathers too, for keeping it in the family, Rarely can one family especially a
family of color can stake such claim. Our ownership goes back 100 years.

The baton is now in our hands, querido primos. Let's pay homage to our fore-fathers, by
making way to the developement of the mountain site, for those family members willing and
ready to stake their rightful claim to settle.
This said property has been neglected for too long, our great-grand mother purchased this land
with her own hard earn savings. How prudence, what say us?
Her eyes were on the future, the future is now /us.
Let's make it happen for the next generation.
"Amor y Paz"
prima Myrna

Sunsets

We're covered by sky no matter where we are.
The Sky seemingly stretches to meet the Sea.
Ah, that magical imaginery line. The Big Hamaca in the sky,
where the Sun settles after It's trek across Big Sky.
Lured in, the Day brings The Night, forming another Tomorrow.
I love Sunsets primas, we're as magical as the salty breeze, riding waves,
cloud formation drifting with the wind, the sense of our fore-father's foot prints
on the sand, I long to have you all here by shore, to look out on the
horizon and give thanks.
Siempre / amor

Read Message - hvc.rr.com

"This trailer was brought into the property by Chequi, over 5yrs. ago
It serve no purpose, If the initial intend was to use it as
lodging, it isn't allowed, especially from a family, already with
property on the grounds.
Not only is it a sour eye, but it's a potential hazard, it's location
is too close the stream, If it ever falls in the ditch/channel during the
rain season, it'll be a costly task to have it removed, remember this is private
property, the cost will be on us."

Hola Familia,

I have not been on for a while and I must say looking at these photos I think how we all should be thanking our forefathers for the beautiful gift GOD bestowed on our family. Our own paradise Mela Pasqua! Let's cherish it, savor it and perserve it. We must all live in harmony and be grateful for all we have! Peace to all! Isabel "Lisa"

It was a few clay bricks forming the base of a chimney or some sought of oven.
If any of you can add to this bit of history, or can add any other event, do share. Love."
